Cherry Grove

 

 

 

Unless you actually want to go to Cherry Grove, you likely will never make it there due to it being off the beaten path. So remote that Google’s Street View is still not available out there. It is west of Gaston and south of Hagg Lake, with Forest Grove even further north.

 

The location of the community is at the head of Patton Valley along the Tualatin River where the later slows down and methodically meanders across the Tualatin Valley. Upriver are Lee Falls and Little Lee Falls where the Tualatin runs wild and clear. Cherry Grove, as is often the case in these parts, is an old logging town, with little more than houses, a church, and what appears to be old school. Children now bus into Gaston for school.
