King City

A few cities in Oregon have been known as the Queen City of this or that, but there is only one King. And this royal theme pervades the city, with appropriately named streets such as Queen Victoria Place. Located only on the west side (sort or north side) of 99W, King City is one of the newest cities in the county, with incorporation only coming in 1966. Originally intended for older adults, it has seen rapid growth in the last few decades as neighboring Tigard has largely run out of room to grow, and as it has absorbed some of the Bull Mountain area.
