Copyrights
​
If you take a picture, make a movie, write an essay, blog about a restaurant, then you have created a work of art that receives automatic copyright protection. However, unless you register your copyright, many of the rights are simply not available to you. Registration is fairly inexpensive, but worth it if you plan on selling your work.

Trademarks

You have a brand, now protect it. This is usually accomplished via a trade or service mark. We can register your mark for you and consult on branding in general. Most marks you will want to register with the federal government via the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), though you can also register a mark at the state level.
The main reason you would only consider a state trademark registration is due to your business being involved in the cannabis field. Since marijuana is still illegal at the federal level, you cannot register pot related marks with the USPTO.
