Rainer

Best known as the home of PGE’s old Trojan Nuclear Power Plant (which was actually at Prescott), Rainer is also the west end of the Lewis & Clark Bridge that spans the Columbia River and connects to Longview in Washington. Like most cities in the county, it is located on both the Columbia River and U.S. 30, which connects west to Clatskanie and south to Columbia City. Apparently, when you can get clear weather, you can see the city’s namesake, Mt. Rainer.
